[REVIEW] Batman v Superman Batmobile (Decool 7117)

Greetings! It's review time once again, and today we'll have Decool's 7117. But obviously it's a carbon copy of LEGO's 76045 "Kryptonite Interception" which is of course based from the Batmobile that appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Of course as a die hard fan of the Batman you must own one of these. And since the original one is so f'n expensive (and really OP), I can only afford Decool's version. I know it's a fake but I think it's a "good fake". I've built some other third party LEGO like stuff before and they were all nice. There are so many third party brands out there, but if you're planning to buy one, buy one from Decool.

Now here's the box, it's sort of almost the same with the original one but this one I think is more square-ish. And of course the BvS logo is not around and the model number (?) is 7117 instead of 76045 since Decool has it's own line of minifigure sets.

Here's the manual, nothing much to see because I think it's quite close to the original one. I think it's kinda smaller than the real one.

7115 is something to own bro.
As I mentioned earlier, Decool has their own set of numberings with their minifigures. And they're not shy to show off some of their previous and up coming products.

"Maintain world peace, Fight for justice." That's one hell of a heroic sentence.
I guess we'll be seeing more stuff from them.

Now we have the stickers. Somehow I already built this one back in September and I just found this sticker sheet when I checked out the box again to review this. So we have stickers for the interior of the Batmobile, this "Super Speed" which was supposed to be LexCorp. I wish Decool just made it LexCorp, but I guess they might get sued. I wasn't really interested to put the Bat-logo on the Batmobile because it looks kinda lame, so I just attached it on my phone case.

"Tell me, do you build?"
Let's move on to the minifigures! I'm really excited about the this Batfleck minifigure. No new features so far but that's a really cool looking detail on the torso.

"You will!"
It's really nice that LEGO is already doing dual faces on it's minifigures, it's a really cool feature. A good way to show that some of these minifigs have emotions. And first we have the normal serious face, and now we have this angry I'm-not-gonna-kill-you-but-I-will-break-your-bones face.

And a lego batman head is not complete with the white headband.

Amazing detail on the back.

"NANANANANANANANANA, ME!"

Let's move on now to the other minifigures in this set, the two Super Spee- I mean Lex Corp henchmen. The other guy is armed with a stud shooter while the other guy is not really armed. Well, he has two of the three kryptonite containers.

And these guys also have alternate faces. And it's nice that they really work at Lex Corp this time.

We have now the second vehicle on this set. The forklift.

It does have some little features like a stud shooter on the side.

And this fork-lift action.

And this one. I'm not sure how it goes but I guess Batman is suppoed to jump off the batmobile and jump on the back side to get rid of the henchman.

Oh, and Batman has a new silver-ish colored batarang.

And finally, we have the main attraction of the set, the Batmobile.

I must say this Batmobile is really in scale with the minifigure. The original Tumbler (7888-1) was not that much scaled with the minifigure in my opinion.

For me, this is a really nice take on the Batmobile. LEGO (I'll compliment LEGO since they originally designed this one) did a really great job on choosing the colors to use. Which is somehow my small gripe about it. The Batmobile from the movie wasn't really totally black, it's more of gray or dark gray. I wish LEGO made it more accurate by giving it a dark gray or gray color. But somehow seeing this one in Black seems perfect.

And I really like it that LEGO  made a new piece just for the Batmobile (and for the Batplane too I think).

There's nothing much to see inside of this Batmobile, just some side buttons and gauges but no steering wheel.

Here's Batfleck inside of his own Batmobile.
Just like all other LEGO vehicles, Batman is laying down inside his Batmobile. I find it really awkward though. I remember I have the bootleg version of the Batmobile from the 6864 set and Batman can sit down inside of the Batmobile which is better looking. I hope LEGO won't be lazy enough and have this minifigure laying down again because if this car didn't have any wheels, it'll look like the minifigure is inside a coffin.

Anyway enough of the gripes, let's check out some of the details on this bad-ass looking Batmobile.

Nothing much on the rear.

This is one of my favorite innovations from LEGO, the stud shooters.
"You missed!"
The stud shooters are so cool, I have to show you guys how it looks like.

Weeeeee~
The Batmobile runs really smoothly when you play around with it.

"My turn!"
"I finally spotted those Lex Corp boys handling the kryptonite, time to charge in"
CRASSHHH
"Go away, Batfreak!"
"Easy enough"
"Vroooooom~"

Cons

  • The overall color of the Batmobile should've been gray, or dark gray. (But it's okay)
  • Who lays down while driving?
Pros

  • Nice detail
  • In-scale with the minifigure
  • New pieces just for the sake of this Batmobile
  • Nice details on the minifigures
  • The playable options are really nice. (Good for your young lads)
  • STUD SHOOTERS FTW!!!

There you have it guys, Decool's version of LEGO's 76045 set. How's my review? What are your thoughts about this set? Will you buy it? Give me some of your thoughts on the comments below. And be sure to check out some other posts on my blog. Until my next post, see you!

[REVIEW] HGBF Petit'gguy Surfgreen with Guitar

It's review time once again! Recently I kinda had the urge to build something. Since I'm done with all of the backlogs that I had. I was checking out some stuff at dalong's site and I encountered this one. And luckily it was available at the mall.

So yeah, I bought one. The price was kinda high but whatever, I'm fine with it. I'm actually not that much of a fan of these Petit'gguys, I just bought this one because of the guitar, it's just really cute looking and stuff. So without further ado, let's see what's inside.

First, we have runner L. It has the parts for the head, arms and ears. I really like the green color.

And then we have runner M. It has the guitar, the ribbon for the Petit'gguy's back, and a nice looking brown mini stand.

Now we have runner K. It has the paws, feet, the insides of it's ears, and it's snout and nose. In a cream-like paint job.

And lastly, we have six clear polycaps and the sticker sheet. It's really nice that Bandai provided extra stickers for the nose and eyes. I guess they know that some of us would lose some the stickers into the alternate reality, or Earth Two, or in the Universal Century while we're attaching it, or maybe accidentally lose it when it falls to the ground or some sort (well, if you're unlucky that is). So great job there Bandai!

Moving on...

After minutes of building, let's check it out part by part.

Let's start off with the head. It was an easy build, some minor nub mark removal and it's done. It was kinda hard attaching the sticker on the nose. Just stay away from the electric fan while attaching it.

The second part now is the body. Pretty easy one.

Third we have the arms.

Ooooh, nub mark spotted.
And legs.

Now for it's accessory (or ries). We have here the guitar, and this adapter piece thing for you to attach some parts from other Build Fighters accessories.

And lastly, we have this cute little stand. If you have other Petit'gguys, you can attach the other stands together.

Now let's put them all together and...

"Are you ready to rock?"
Here it is with all of it's parts attached. It can somehow stand on it's own but you really need to use the stand.

nub marks!!!
nub marks again!!!  πŸ˜‚
"Yes my sweet Yes! my sweetest, I wanna get back where you were~"
Here it is with the stand.

And some other poses.

Now on the back of the manual (sorry I wasn't able to take a photo of that one.) You can attach some weapons and accessories from other Gunplas most of them are from the Portent Flyer, Amazing Red Warrior, and the weapons from the Crossbone Maoh. Luckily, I have the first two.

On the manual, it says you can attach part parts from the Portent flyer as wings and a sort of sword. And you can also get the Amazing Red Warrior's shield as a uhm, shield for this Pettit'gguy.

Double sword FTW!

"Just wild beat, communication~"
"Spider-man, Spider-man, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man"
CONs
  • Too girly (it depends in your reference)
  • too pricey (I think)
  • limited accessories (but for me the guitar is a win)
PROs

  • Easy build
  • GUITAR!!!
  • Free stand
  • The nub marks are not so visible.
  • The customization options for the Petit'gguy is very excellent. You can attach wings, boosters, and other various weapons. It's really great kit for customization.
There you have it the HGBF Pettit'gguy Surfgreen and Guitar (as it said on the box). Overall, it's a quick and easy build. A good startup build for your young lad who wants to start building Gunplas (or might as well just build an SD Gundam if this one is too girly for him.), just help them with the removal of nub marks because it's hard to remove compare to child-friendly SDs. As I said in my verdict, the amount of accessories are quite of a bad thing. I hope next time Bandai will release more of these in more colors, accessories (like keyboards, bass guitar, microphone to form a band), and lots of other add-ons and let's hope it's not in a P-Bandai release.

What are your thoughts on this Petit'gguy? Will you buy it? Share them in the comments below and let me here from you. See you in my next post!
